Award winning company receives another prestigous accolade.
A Woman's Touch - the building and construction company run exclusively by women, has again been recognised as one of the leading companies in its sector through the recent announcment that founder and MD Kerrie Keeling has been awarded the BT 2007 Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Kerrie says she is delighted with the BT award and is very proud of all the hard work and commitment her mainly female team have shown over the past year. The comany continues to grow at pace and now employs 8 peole on the office side and close to 40 tradesmen and women in the field. It has also recently entered into a strategic partnership with Richard Branson's company Virgin Vie at Home - which offers stylish home furnishings and finishing touches - meaning that both companies can now offer a true end to end service to their customers. A Woman's Touch operates from a head office in London and serves the south east of Britain, down to Brighton, and is also launching in Southern Spain next month.
The BT award joins a line of previous awards for the 4 1/2 year old company - set up by Kerrie Keeling when she decided to leave the world of Investment Banking and charter new territories in yet another male-dominated industry. Last year Kerrie was awarded the Natwest everywoman Demeter Business Woman of the Year, and earlier this year was runner up in the O2 Evening Standard Inspirational Businesses award. The firm has also been granted "Federation of Master Builders" status - the first female run company to achieve this.
